FIGHTING OVER THE BODY

10-17-04

(2 Tim 1:7)  For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind [i.e. the Spirit of faith].

INVASION: THE LAST BATTLEFIELD, THE CHURCH, FIGHTING OVER THE BODY

(1 Sam 17:1-3)  Now the Philistines [originally a sea people. Possessing superior weapons of iron] gathered together their armies to battle, and were gathered together at Shochoh, which belongeth to Judah, and pitched between Shochoh [thorn-hedge] and Azekah [a place tilled (plowed, cultivated)], in Ephesdammim [boundary of blood-drops, border of blood]. And Saul and the men of Israel were gathered together, and pitched by the valley of Elah, and set the battle in array [in battle formation] against the Philistines. And the Philistines stood on a mountain [of power] on the one side, and Israel stood on a mountain [of power] on the other side: and there was a valley between them.

And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion [“the devil, as a roaring lion” 1 Pet 5:8]: and the dragon [the Devil, Satan] gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
