The depth of our
revelations depends upon the correctness of our doctrines.
A FIGURATIVE
SUMMATION
(Isa
11:1)
And there shall come forth a
rod out of the stem [Heb:
trunk] of Jesse [Heb:
extant, David’s father /// exist, entity],
and a Branch [Jesus
Christ: Jer 23:5; 33:15; Zech 3:8; 6:12] shall grow out of his roots:
- Commentary:
“his roots” = Men are trees
in the Bible. Jesse’s roots; fig. our roots (our lifestyle belief-system)
that clings to the earth. Our roots are separated from the born-again
(justified) tree as the
tree becomes (sanctification) fully born-again (glorification). My soul yet
clings but my spirit doth soar.
- Commentary:
rod = is part of the tree, but
disconnected from the tree. The hard wooden rod represents our soul
that upon the occasion of our death and resurrection will be fully
“transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Rom 12:2) into Spirit.
At that time, our spirit will then emerge out of the tree of us, the
material realm, and become fully
active in the spiritual realm. Two
prophetic examples are Moses’ dead rod (Exo 4:1-5) that
(resurrected) performed miracles against Pharaoh in Egypt, and Aaron’s
dead rod that (resurrected) “budded… and yielded almonds” (Num 17:8),
although parenthetically speaking, they both seem to be the same rod, i.e.,
of the same Spirit.
- (John
15:1-6) I
[Jesus Christ] am the
true vine [Gk: a vine (as coiling
about a support)], and my Father [God]
is the husbandman [Gk: farmer].
Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he
taketh away [and cast “into
outer darkness” Mat 22:13; 25:30]: and every branch that beareth
fruit [30 fold],
he purgeth [Gk: cleanses, prunes] it,
that it may bring forth more fruit [60 fold]. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and
I in you. As the branch cannot bear
fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye
abide in me. I am the vine, ye are
the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit [100
fold]: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he
is cast forth as a branch, and is withered [Gk:
dried up]; and men gather them
[i.e., glorified men: “and the
reapers are the angels” Mat 13:39], and
cast them into the fire, and
they are burned.
WE SHALL RECEIVE THE
FULL MIND OF CHRIST IN THE MILLENNIUM
(Isa 11:2-5)
And the spirit of the LORD
shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the
spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of
the fear of the LORD; And shall make him of quick understanding in
the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes,
neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: But with righteousness
shall he judge the poor, and reprove [Heb:
correct] with equity [fairness]
for the meek [Heb: gentle] of the
earth: and he shall smite the earth with
the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the
wicked. And righteousness shall be the girdle [Heb: belt] of his loins, and faithfulness
the girdle of his reins.
- (Rev
19:15) And
out of his mouth goeth a sharp
sword [the Word of God], that
with it he should smite the nations:
and he shall rule them with a rod
of iron [Moses’ rod
transformed from wood into iron]: and he treadeth the winepress of the
fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
- (1Co
13:8-10) Charity
[Gk: agape; love, affection
or benevolence: love]
never faileth: but whether there be prophecies
[Gk: predictions],
they shall fail [Gk: to be (render) entirely
idle (useless)];
whether there be tongues
[Gk: languages], they
shall cease [Gk: stop: come to an
end]; whether there
be knowledge [Gk: science], it shall vanish away [Gk:
to be (render)
entirely idle
(useless)].
For we know in part [Gk:
in piece, in portion], and we
prophesy in part [having
“the earnest” (2 Cor 1:22; 5:5; Eph 1:14) of the Holy Spirit].
But when that which is
perfect [Gk: complete] is
come [i.e., meaning the complete mind of Christ in us],
then that which is in part done away [Gk:
to be (render) entirely
idle (useless)].
- (1Co
13:11-13) When
I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I
thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
For now [as a child] we see through a glass, darkly [Gk: obscurely]; but
then [upon our Lord’s
return] face to face: now
I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known
[e.g., Susan Christ, William Christ, John Christ]. And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the
greatest of these is charity.
- (Gal
3:27) For as many of
you as have been baptized
[Gk: to make whelmed
(that is, fully wet)]
into Christ [Gk:
the anointing] have put on
Christ.
LOVE
AND PEACE WILL REIGN
DURING
THE THOUSAND YEAR MILLENNIUM
(Isa 11:6-9)
The wolf also shall dwell with the
lamb [Heb: a young sheep], and the
leopard shall lie down with the kid [Heb:
a young goat]; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling [Heb:
stall fed] together; and a little
child shall lead [Heb: guide]
them [How is that possible? Answer: in the same orderly fashion that Noah
lead (guided) into the ark “all flesh, wherein is the breath of life” Gen
7:15]. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down
together: and the lion shall eat straw
like the ox [exemplifying a wholesale
return to the pre-flood days of vegetarianism]. And the sucking [Heb:
nursing] child shall
play on the hole of the asp [poisonous
snake], and the weaned child shall
put his hand on the cockatrice' [an
aggressive deadly viper] den. They
shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain [Heb: a mountain or range of hills]: for the earth shall be full
of the knowledge of the LORD, as the
waters cover the sea [a symbol of
humanity].
- (Gen
7:13-16) In the selfsame day [at
the beginning of the flood] entered
Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife,
and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark; They, and every
beast after his kind, and all the
cattle after their kind, and every
creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every
fowl after his kind, every bird
of every sort. And they went in unto
Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life. And they that went in, went in
male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut
him in.
- (Gen
9:1-4) And
God blessed Noah and his sons
[at the ending of the flood], and said unto them, Be
fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth. And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be
upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air,
upon all that moveth upon
the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are
they delivered. Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat
[Heb: food] for you; even
as the green herb [Gen 1:29]
have I given you all things. But flesh with the
life thereof, which is the blood thereof,
shall ye not eat .
- (Lev
17:14) For it
is the life of all flesh; the
blood of it is for the
life thereof: therefore I said unto the children of Israel, Ye
shall eat the blood of no manner of flesh: for the life of all
flesh is the blood thereof: whosoever
eateth it shall be cut off.
- (Gen
1:27-30) So God created man in
his own image, in the image
of God created he him; male and female created he them. And
God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be
fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and
have dominion [Heb: subjugate:
reign, rule] over the fish of
the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that
moveth upon the earth. And God said, Behold,
I have given you every herb [Heb:
grass (or any tender shoot)] [such as barley, rye, and wheat]
bearing seed, which is
upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is
the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for
meat [Heb: food].
And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every
thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there
is life, I have given
every green herb for meat [Heb:
food]: and it was so. [ref.
Isa 11:6-9]
- Commentary: “and have dominion over”
= to have peaceful and orderly dominion, reign, rule over someone or
something, the ruler must be able to
communicate to the subject. By what means did Noah communicate with
the animals boarding the ark two by two?
AND
EVANGELISM WILL PROSPER THROUGHOUT THE MILLENNIUM
(Isa 11:10)
And in that day [the
Day of the Lord, the “thousand years” (2 Peter 3:8) Millennium] there shall be a root
of Jesse, which shall stand [picture
a vertical Tabernacle] for an
ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest
shall be glorious.
- (Rev
22:16) I Jesus have sent mine
angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I
am the root and the offspring of David [and
thus Jesse], and the
bright and morning star.
- ensign
= Heb: a flag; by implication a flagstaff; generally a signal; figuratively a
token:
- banner, pole, sail, (en-) sign,
standard /// to gleam
from afar, to be conspicuous as a signal; (through the idea of a flag as fluttering
in the wind); to raise a beacon:
- lift up as an ensign, standard
bearer.
- Commentary:
What or who do you suppose that “ensign” to be? Remember Gideon’s 300
warriors standing over “the host of Midian… in the valley” (Judg 7:8),
each warrior standing in the bodily configuration of a cross? That is a
prophetic picture of you in Christ in the Millennium!
Amen
