THE PEOPLE THAT HAVE FOUGHT AGAINST JERUSALEM “SHALL CONSUME AWAY”
11-18-12
(Luke 17:20,21) And when he was demanded of the
Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said,
the kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo
here! or, lo there! For, behold, the kingdom of God [i.e., the
kingdom of Heaven] is within you.
Rev 12:1 And there appeared a great wonder in
heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon
her head a crown of twelve stars: Rev 12:2 And she being with child cried,
travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. Rev 12:3 And there
appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having
seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. Rev 12:4 And
his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to
the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be
delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. Rev 12:5 And she
brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron:
and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. Rev 12:6 And the
woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that
they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
“GOD
[Heaven] IS WITHIN YOU” (Luke 17:21)
(Rev 12:7-9) And there was war in heaven
[Gk: the abode of God] [where is heaven? Heaven is in your heart
(in your mind)]: Michael and his angels [i.e., the thoughts of
God inserted into conceivable understandable “containers;” the words
(phrases, messages) of God] fought against the dragon; and the
dragon fought and his angels [i.e., the thoughts of Satan inserted
into conceivable understandable “containers;” the words (phrases, messages)
of Satan], And prevailed not; neither was their place
[Gk: spot, location] found any more in heaven [inside the
hearts of the “man child” (Rev 12:6); the “hundredfold” company (Mat 13:23)].
And the great dragon was cast out [of the hearts of the “man
child” company], that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan
[four of his different aspects], which deceiveth the whole
world: he was cast out into the earth, and his [devils, demons,
unclean spirits, fallen] angels were cast out [of the “man
child” company] with him.
1.
(Heb 4:12) For the word of God is quick [Gk:
lively, alive] and powerful [Gk: active, operative:
effectual], and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing
[action word] even to the dividing [action word]
asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a
discerner [action word] of the thoughts and intents of the
heart [Gk: the thoughts or feelings (the mind)].
2.
Commentary: Spiritual things move (“quick”) and are
moving (“powerful”); to not move is to be dead. The thoughts of God
and the thoughts of Satan are enclosed (sheathed) in moving constructs
of conceivable, understandable, and sometimes visually perceptable “containers,”
like angels (“the thigh bone connected to the ankle bone, the ankle bone
connected to the – old song, etc.), or like the connected cargo-cars of a
train, or like a sentence of connected words, e.g., the Bible. The
individual angel, cargo-car, or word that we may perceive is not the message
but merely the container. Both good angels and bad (fallen) angels
are containers of words, cargo-cars are containers; words are containers.
The message (the meaning) is hidden within each container of angel,
cargo-car, or word.
3.
(Luke 8:11) Now the parable is this: The seed is the word
of God.
4.
(Mat 13:18,19) Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.
When any one heareth the word [seed] of the kingdom,
and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and
catcheth away that [seed] which was sown in his heart
[Gk: (fig.) the thoughts or feelings (the mind)].
This is he which received seed [“the word of the kingdom”] by the
way side [Gk: road side].
5.
(2 Cor 10:4,5) (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but
mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds [Gk:
castles (fig. arguments)];) Casting down imaginations, and
every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and
bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
6.
(Gal 5:22,23) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance
[Gk: self-control]: against such there is no law.
(Rev 12:10,11) And I heard a loud voice saying in
heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of
our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is
cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they
[the man child company; the hundredfold company. Gideon set them into
three hundredfold companies (Judg 7:16) representing God the Father, God the
Son, and God the Holy Ghost] overcame him by the blood of the Lamb,
and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives
unto the death.
(Rev 12:12) Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye
that dwell in them [the man child rejoices while the woman is “fed”
(Rev 12:6) and “nourished”(Rev 12:14) spiritually; actually, she is taught
(corrected) and sanctified like the believing but in error men of Succoth:
Judg 8:16) for 3 ½ years: Rev 12:6 & Rev 12:14]. Woe to the
[unsaved] inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is
come down unto you, having great wrath [the great Tribulation],
because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
1.
(Psa 91:4-8) He shall cover thee with his feathers, and
under his wings shalt thou trust [the eagle image appears,
representing God]: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt
not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow
[a modern day missile] that flieth by day; Nor for the
pestilence [Heb: plague] that walketh [is alive and
contagious] in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth
[Heb: to swell up; fig. to devastate] at noonday. A
thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but
it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou
behold and see the reward of the wicked [because you will then have
resurrected immortal bodies].
2.
Commentary: “the destruction that wasteth [that
swells up] at noonday” in context suggests an explosion of the
most intense searing heat (Zec 14:12) and piercing brightness that occurs
at noon, and is a picture of a nuclear bomb mushroom cloud that actually
does “swell up” as a consuming fire.
3.
(Zec 14:12) And this shall be the plague
[Heb: slaughter, stroke] wherewith the LORD will smite all the people
that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall
consume away [Heb: melt: dissolve] while they stand upon
their feet, and their eyes shall consume away [Heb: melt:
dissolve] in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away
[Heb: melt: dissolve] in their mouth.
(Rev 12:13,14) And when the dragon saw
[Gk: perceived] that he was cast unto the earth [completely
out of the man child company], he persecuted the woman [the
sixtyfold company: Mat 13] which brought forth the man child
[the hundredfold company]. And to the woman [O.T.
Israel now matured into the N.T. Church (“as one man” Judg 6:16)]
were given two wings [the Old Testament and the New Testament;
the open Bible] of a great eagle [a type of God],
that she might fly [above the earth] into the wilderness,
into her place [Gk: spot; location], where she is
nourished [and taught (corrected) and sanctified, as was Succoth:
Judg 8:16] for a time, and times, and half a time [3 ½ years],
[away] from the face of the serpent.
1.
(Exo 19:3,4) And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto
him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob,
and tell the children of Israel; Ye have seen what I did unto the
Egyptians [the ten plagues], and how I bare you on
eagles' wings [a figurative self-description of God of
Himself], and brought you unto myself.
2.
(Isa 40:31) But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew
[Heb: grow up] their strength; they shall mount up
[Heb: ascend] with wings as eagles; they shall run, and
not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
3.
(Dan 7:25-27) And he [the antichrist, the beast: Rev
13:1,2] shall speak great words against the most High,
and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and
think to change times and laws: and they [the sixtyfold church
saints, and the thirtyfold “remnant of her seed” (Rev 12:17) saints]
shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the
dividing of time [3 ½ years]. But the judgment shall
sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to
destroy it unto the end. And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness
of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of
the saints [compositely: the man child, the church, and the remnant
of her seed “as one man” Judg 6:16] of the most High, whose
kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve
and obey him [the most High, Jesus Christ].
(Rev 12:15-17) And the serpent cast out of his
mouth water [a mixed metaphor suggesting people
being propelled forward by words] as a flood after the woman,
that he might cause her to be carried away [Gk: riverborne, i.e.
overwhelmed by a stream] of the flood. And the earth
helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the
flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth [perhaps by
opening the nearby continental rift]. And the dragon was wroth
[Gk: became exasperated; enraged] with the woman, and went to make
war with the remnant of her seed [the thirtyfold company: Mat
13], which keep the commandments of God, and have the
testimony of Jesus Christ.
Amen
