THE ANNOUNCEMENT AND THE SECOND COMING OF JESUS CHRIST
12-30-12
(Rev 1:1-6) The Revelation [Gk:
apokalupsis] of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to
show unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and
he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
Who bare record of the word [Gk: logos] of God, and of the
testimony of Jesus Christ [i.e., the rhema of God], and of all
things that he saw. Blessed is he that readeth, and
they that hear the words of this prophecy [Gk: prediction],
and keep [Gk: to guard (from loss or injury, prop. by keeping
the eye upon] those things which are written therein: for the time is
at hand. John to the seven churches [representing a composite
of all churches] which are in Asia [modern Turkey]: Grace
be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and
which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his
throne; And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and
the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of
the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us [Gk: to bathe
(the whole person)] from our sins in his own blood, And hath made
us kings and priests [Rev 5:10] unto God and his Father; to
him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
1.
revelation = Gk: “apocalypse”; disclosure:--appearing, coming,
lighten, manifestation, be revealed /// to take off the cover, i.e.
disclose:--reveal. [very much the rhema of God in logos apparel]
(Rev 1:7,8) Behold, he cometh with clouds
[Rev 19:14]; and every eye shall see him, and they also which
pierced him [the unsaved descendents of the Jews who pierced him;
also referring to current unbelievers]: and all
[the remaining unsaved] kindreds of the earth shall wail [Gk:
beat the breast in grief: lament, mourn] because of him.
Even so, Amen. I am Alpha and Omega [the first and last letters of
the Greek alphabet], the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord,
which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
1.
(Rev 19:11-16) And I saw heaven opened, and behold a
white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and
True [in direct contrast to the first “white horse” (Rev
6:2) of “strong delusion” (2 Thes 2:11)], and in righteousness
he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire
[all-seeing and judgmental, burning up the chaff], and on his head
were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew,
but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture [Gk: garment,
robe] dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of
God [“logos” John 1:14 (the visible aspect)]. And the
armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed
in fine linen, white and clean [“the fine linen is the righteousness
of saints” Rev 19:8]. And out of his mouth goeth [His tongue
which is] a sharp [twoedged] sword [the Word of
God: “logos” Heb 4:12; “rhema” Eph 6:17] that with it he should smite
[wound and/or kill] the nations: and he shall rule them
with a rod [Gk: sceptre, staff] of iron [iron is the
biblical symbol of judgment]: and he treadeth the winepress of the
fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on his vesture and on
his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
a.
(1 Cor 15:46) Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but
that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
b.
(Rev 6:1,2) And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals,
and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying,
Come and see. And I saw, and behold a white horse: and
he that sat on him had a bow [but no arrows, i.e., giving the
illusion of power]; and a crown [single vs. “many”] [a
crown of Strong Delusion] was given unto him [the father of
lies: John 8:44]: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.
c.
(Jude 1:22,23) And of some have compassion
[Gk: pity, mercy], making a difference: And others save with fear
[Gk: alarm or fright: be afraid, terror], pulling them out of the
fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
2.
(Mat 24:29) [THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE SIXTH
SEAL] Immediately after [i.e., the conclusion of]
the [great] tribulation [the fifth seal
of Rev 6] of those days shall the sun be darkened
[Gk: obscured in darkness], and the moon shall not give her
[reflected] light [note also the female gender]
[i.e., she will be clothed in darkness, a probable allusion to Islam],
and the stars shall fall from heaven [dennoting the fall from
rule and power of the previously mighty unto eternal separation from God
(love), and solitary death; the fall from Light into Darkness], and
the powers of the heavens [(plural): both angelic and human
powers] shall be shaken:
a.
shaken = Gk: to waver, i.e. agitate, rock, topple or (by impl.)
destroy: move, stir up.
b.
(Heb 12:26-29) Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath
promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also
heaven. And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the
removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made,
that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Wherefore
we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have
grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
For our God is a consuming fire.
3.
(Mat 24:30) [THE SIXTH SEAL: THE COMING…] And
then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall
all the [unsaved] tribes of the earth mourn, and they
shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power
and great glory.
Amen
