PREACHING FROM THE CORNERS

(Judg 11:1-3)  Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valour, and he was the son of an harlot [adulteress, whore]: and Gilead begat Jephthah. And Gilead's wife bare him sons [half-brothers to Jephthah: a type of mankind, born of the flesh but not of the Spirit]; and his wife's sons grew up [twisted; proud], and they thrust out Jephthah [separation: a type of crucifixion], and said unto him, Thou shalt not inherit in our father's house; for thou art the son of a strange woman [another man’s woman]. Then Jephthah fled from his brethren [voluntarily gave up His life: a type of death], and dwelt in the land of Tob [good: a type of Heaven]: and there were gathered [gleaned: a type of rapture] vain men [empty to the world] to Jephthah, and went out with him [raiding the enemy: a type of evangelizing, preaching the word of God].

1.       gathered = Heb: to pick up, i.e. (gen.) to gather; spec. to glean:--gather (up), glean.

2.      (1 Th 4:16,17)  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first [the good harvest]: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up [gleaned] together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

3.      caught up = Gk: to seize:--catch (away, up), pluck, pull, take (by force). [glean]

4.       glean = Dict: 1. to gather slowly and laboriously in bits [a process]. 2. to gather (grain, etc.) after the reapers or regular gatherers. 3. to collect or gather anything little by little or slowly [a process]. 4. to gather what is left by reapers.

5.       (Lev 23:22  And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean riddance [wholly reap] of the corners [mouths] of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor [depressed, in mind or circumstances: afflicted, humble, lowly, needy], and to the stranger [foreigner:--alien, stranger]: I am the LORD your God.

6.       corners = Heb: mouth in a fig. sense, i.e. direction, region, extremity:--corner, end, quarter, side.

7.       (Lev 19:27)  Ye shall not round [cut off] the corners [mouths] of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners [mouths] of thy beard [for they speak of the Lord – the Nazarite vow].

FURNITURE WITH NO CORNERS (mouths) IN THE TABERNACLE (the Body of Christ)

God furniture in the Tabernacle is pure metal (incorruptible), unformed (has no biblical dimensions), and has no corners (no preaching from the corners).

1.       The brazen laver: pure metal, symbolizing the washing away of sin. Symbol of the Holy Spirit interacting with our soul. Internal teaching originating from inside the body. No corners.

2.       The golden candlestick: pure metal, symbolizing illuminating love. Symbol of the Holy Spirit interacting with our spirit. Internal teaching originating from inside the body. No corners.

FURNITURE WITH CORNERS (mouths) IN THE TABERNACLE (the Body of Christ)

Man furniture in the Tabernacle is wood (corruptible) covered with metal (incorruptibility), formed (has biblical dimensions) either square or rectangle, and has corners.

1.       The brazen altar: wood and square. Covered with brass. Symbol of the atoning substitutionary sacrifices that we give to God in animals and foods. And we are preaching from the corners externalized manifestations of what we have learned.

2.       The altar of incense: wood and square. Covered with gold. Symbol of the heartfelt loving sacrifices that we give to God in prayer, praise, and worship. And we are preaching from the corners externalized manifestations of what we have learned.

3.       The table of showbread: wood and rectangle. Covered with gold. Symbol of the “more than square” sacrifices that God gives to us in the twelve loaves of bread. We are still giving (the square within the rectangle) but God is giving more (the rectangle encompasses and is more than the square). And we are preaching from the corners externalized manifestations of what we have learned.

4.       The ark of the covenant: wood and rectangle. Covered with gold. Symbol of the “more than square” sacrifices that God gives to us in the two tables of testimony, the golden pot of manna, and Aaron’s rod that budded. We are still giving (the square within the rectangle) but God is giving more (the rectangle encompasses and is more than the square). And we are preaching from the corners externalized manifestations of what we have learned.

YOUR ETERNAL FUTURE IS THE SEVENTH ARTICLE OF FURNITURE

(seven is the symbolic number of completion)

God the Man furniture in the Tabernacle is an amalgamation of God and man. The mercy seat is a type of our final and complete “transformation” (Rom 12:2) from godly men, symbolized by articles of furniture that are wood covered with gold, into God Men symbolized by a single article of furniture of pure gold (God) that is formed (man) in a rectangle (man: God gives to us the fullness of the Spirit); and the mercy seat has corners (God the Man preaching “the everlasting gospel” (Rev 14:6) from the corners.

1.       amalgamate = Dict: to mix so as to make a combination; blend; unite; combine: to amalgamate two companies. /// amalgamation = Dict: 1. a consolidation of two or more corporations. 2. the biological fusion of diverse racial stocks.

2.       (Rev 13:18 thru 14:7)  Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast [Eccl 3:18]: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six [the 666 company].  And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads [the 777 Company]. And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: And they sung as it were a new song [Joel 2:2] before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. These are they which were not defiled with women [false doctrine]; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God. And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel [perpetual, eternal, for ever] to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

3.      (1 Pet 1:12)  Unto whom [the prophets] it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire [to set the heart upon, i.e. long for] to look into [to bend beside, i.e. lean over (so as to peer within):--look (into), stoop down]. [profitable references: Exo 25:20; Dan 8:13; 12:5,6; Eph 3:10]

THE AMALGAMATION OF GOD AND MAN IN THE MERCY SEAT

(Exo 25:17-22)  And thou shalt make a mercy seat of pure gold [God]: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof [forming a rectangle (man) with corners (man)]. And thou shalt make two cherubims [cherub (plural)] of gold [God], of beaten work [man] shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat. And make one cherub on the one end, and the other cherub on the other end: even of the mercy seat shall ye make the cherubims on the two ends thereof [both cherubim are risen from one body of rectangular (man) pure gold (God), and remain one body of pure gold with two cherubims risen]. And the cherubims shall stretch forth their wings on high, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces shall look one to another [across]; toward the mercy seat [down] shall the faces of the cherubims be. And thou shalt put the mercy seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee. And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat [God is “kurios,” supreme in authority], from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.

1.       beaten work = Heb: rounded work, i.e. moulded by hammering:--beaten (out of one piece, work), upright, whole piece. [beaten by what?]

2.       (Jer 23:29)  Is not my word like as a fire [melts]? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces? [Is not my word like a fiery hammer?]

3.       (1 Ki 6:23)  And within the oracle [Most Holy Place] he made two cherubims of olive tree, each ten cubits high. /// (1 Ki 6:28)  And he overlaid the cherubims with gold. [man angels]

Amen
