THE
RAPTURE OF THE SPIRIT
(Isa
3:1) For, behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, doth take
away [Heb:
to turn off [as a water faucet]; pluck away, remove, withdraw]
[all influence and authority] from Jerusalem [the
Christian
shepherds] and from Judah [the Christian sheep]
the
stay [Heb: support, sustenance] and the staff
[Heb:
support, a walking stick] [i.e., the long-hooked staff of correction],
the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water,

Commentary:
This verse is employing
the Hebrew writing convention of parallelism herein referring
to
Jerusalem and Judah as life-sustaining, and by extension their
indwelling
Holy Spirit.

Commentary:
The mental-spiritual focus of the categories of persons
who are being
withdrawn consists of wise-hearted people (leaders) who are filled
with the
spirit of God now being increasingly “taken away”
(turned
off, withdrawn) from the distractions (Mark 4:19) of the
earthly realm of
thought, but not experience.

(Mark
4:19) And the cares [Gk: distractions] of
this world,
and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering
in,
choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.
(Isa
3:2-5) The mighty man, and the man of war, the judge,
and the prophet, and the prudent, and the ancient,
The captain
of fifty, and the honourable man, and the counsellor,
and the
cunning artificer, and the eloquent orator [2].
And
I will give children [Heb: young boys and girls,
adolescents]
to be the FROM THE DISTRACTIONS OF THIS WORLDir princes [Heb:
head persons (of any rank or class): captains, chiefs, generals,
governors,
keepers, lords, masters, rulers], and babes [Heb:
a
caprice (as a fit coming on), vexations; concretely - tyrants: delusions]
[“strong delusion” 2 Thes 2:11] [3] shall rule over them
[i.e., the princes]. And the people [Heb:
nations] shall
be oppressed [Heb: driven, taxed, harassed, tyrannized:
distressed], every one by another, and every one by
his
neighbour [Heb: associate: brother, companion, friend,
husband,
lover]: the child [Heb: young boys and girls,
adolescents]
shall behave himself proudly [Heb: to urge severely,
act
insolently: overcome] against the ancient [Heb:
elderly],
and the base [deserving of low esteem: disrespectful]
against
the honourable.

build
“the tabernacle of God” (Rev 21:3), a type and shadow of the Body of
Christ]
the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah: And I have
filled him
with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding,
and in
knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, To devise
cunning works
[engineered works], to work in gold, and in silver, and
in brass,
And in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to
work in
all manner of workmanship. And I, behold, I have given with him Aholiab,
the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan: and in the hearts of all
[of
us, believers, workers in building the tabernacle of God] that
are wise hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I
have
commanded thee;

21:3) And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the
tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them,
and they
shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them,
and be their
God. [THE COMMAND]:

kosmos; “cosmos” (universe)], and preach the gospel [of
love] to every creature.
AND NOW
YE KNOW WHAT WITHHOLDETH
(2 Thes
2: 6-12) And now ye know
what withholdeth [Gk: holds down (fast, back)]
that he [the
composite body of many unsaved peoples, the antichrist “beast” [1]
might
be revealed [Gk: to take off the cover: disclosed]
in
his time. For the mystery of iniquity [“lawlessness”
NKJV]
[2] doth already work: only he [the Holy Spirit
in the
people of Jerusalem and Judah, i.e., all Christians] who now
letteth
[“restrains” NKJV] will let [restrain],
until he [the Holy Spirit] be taken out of the way
[“doth take away” Isa 3:1]. And then shall that Wicked be
revealed,
whom the Lord shall consume [“For our God is a
consuming fire.”
Heb 12:29] with the spirit of his mouth [“And
out of his
mouth goeth a sharp sword” Rev 19:15; i.e., the tongue of the Lord, the
Word of
God], and shall destroy with the brightness [the
consuming fire of a nuclear holocaust (Dict: a whole burnt
offering)] [3]
of his coming: Even him [the head (leader) of the
composite body
of many unsaved peoples, the antichrist “beast” Rev 13:1,2], whose
coming is after the working of Satan [Gk: the accuser,
the devil]
with all power and signs and lying wonders, And
with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that
perish [Gk:
are destroyed fully: die]; because they received not the
love of the
truth, that they might be saved [Gk: “safe”;
delivered, protected:
healed, made whole]. And for this cause God shall send them
strong
delusion [Gk: deceptions: errors], that they
should
believe a lie [Gk: falsehoods, lies]: That they
all
might be damned [Gk: condemned, punished: judged]
who
believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
(Rev
13:1,2) And I stood upon the sand of the sea [a
symbol of
humanity], and saw a beast [Gk: a dangerous
animal:
(venomous wild) beast] rise up out of the sea, having
seven heads
and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the
name of
blasphemy. And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard
[swift and lethal, and his feet were as the feet of a bear
[powerful
crushing], and his mouth as the mouth of a lion
[roaring
commands]: and the dragon [Satan] gave
him his
power, and his seat, and great authority [i.e.,
the
most authorative powerful position in the world].

7:25) And he [the antichrist beast] shall
speak great
words [blasphemy] against the most High, and
shall
wear out [Heb: (used only in a mental sense); affliction]
[Great Tribulation]
the saints of the most High, and think to change
times and
laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times
and the
dividing of time.

14:12,13) And this shall be the plague [Heb:
pestilence] [an
invisible enemy, radioactivity] wherewith the LORD will smite all
the
people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall
consume
away [Heb: melt: dissolve] while they stand upon
their
feet, and their eyes shall consume away [Heb: melt:
dissolve]
in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away
[Heb:
melt: dissolve] in their mouth. And it shall come to
pass in that
day, that a great tumult [Heb: confusion or uproar:
destruction,
trouble, vexation] [i.e., the effects of “strong
delusion” 2 Thes
2:11] from the LORD shall be among them; and
they shall
lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his
hand shall
rise up against the hand of his neighbour.
(2 Thes
2:13-17) But we are bound to
give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord,
because
God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation [Gk:
safety]
through sanctification [Gk: purification] of
the Spirit
and belief of the truth: Whereunto he called you by our gospel,
to
the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore,
brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye
have
been taught, whether by word, or our epistle. Now our Lord Jesus
Christ
himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath
given us everlasting consolation and good hope through
grace, Comfort
your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.
