THE
CURRENT OVERVIEW OF OUR LIVES
(Dan
7:25) And he [the antichrist leader(s)] shall
speak great words against the [doctrines of the] most
High [God],
and shall wear out [Heb:
afflict]
[with worldly tribulations] the saints of the most High [God], and
think to change
times and laws: and they [the saints] shall
be given [Heb: delivered] into his
hand [Heb: power] until a time and times and the
dividing of
time [symbolically, for 3 ½ years (1 ½ years to go)].
1.
(Rev
13:7) And it was given unto him [the antichrist
leader(s),
i.e., whosoever is against Christ (the unsaved)] to
make war with the saints, and
to overcome
them [Gk: subdue: conquer, prevail, get the victory
(over)]:
and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues,
and
nations.
MATTHEW’S
PROPHECY
Commentary:
Matthew’s narrative (Matt 24:1-51) is an extended metaphor describing the progressive stages of our
pregnancy as the Bride of Christ whose
seed (the seed of God) “is within you”
(Gk: inside you) (Luke 17:21). The seed in
question is the
Bible, which is Jesus Christ (John 1:14),
cumulating in our delivery (birth,
victory) as the “man child”
(Rev
12:5). The experiential pattern or process of our
delivery has
already been accomplished by our archetype (prototype) Jesus Christ and
shall be emulated (followed, copied) by we who are believers and follow
Jesus. May we note that all seven seals are
cumulative and progressive, like the
layers of a
pearl (Matt 13:45,46),
i.e., layered theological doctrines (revelations), a wonderful and perfect
illustration [1].
Please also note that Matthew separates the first
three of the
four revealed (“Come and see.”) seals into a
visible (present
tense) interrelated group by identifying all three of them composited
together
as “the beginning of sorrows”
(Gk:
pangs or throes, espec. childbirth: pain, travail).
1.
(Matt
13:45,46) Again, the
kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man [Gk: a
tradesman],
seeking goodly pearls [enhancements to benefit his chosen
life-style,
i.e., his “success”]: Who, when he had found one [unique]
pearl
[the
many layered Bible (leading to eternal salvation)] of great price [“present your
bodies a
living sacrifice” Rom 12:1], went and sold all that he
had
[all his worldly “goods”], and
bought it
[i.e., got saved, and traded it all for the Bible (Jesus
Christ)].
JESUS
DEPARTS FROM THE TEMPLE
(ref.
Acts 1:9; this introduction, Matt 24:1-3, was previously
delivered on
02-12-23)
(Matt
24:1-3)
And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples
came to him
for to shew him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said unto
them, See
ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left
here
one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. And as he
sat upon
the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying,
Tell us,
when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming,
and of
the end of the world?
THE
BEGINNING OF SORROWS
Jesus
Christ unveils the first three visible
(revealed) seals of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse
(Matt
24:4-8) And Jesus answered
and said unto them, Take heed [beware,
be
warned] that no man deceive you
[Gk:
cause you to roam (from safety, truth, or virtue): go astray, seduce,
wander
/// delusion, error]. For many [false prophets]
shall
come in my name, saying, I am Christ [Gk: anointed];
and shall deceive many [the first seal (Rev 6:1,2)] [1]. And
ye
shall hear of wars and rumours of wars
[the
second seal (Rev 6:3,4)] [2]: see that ye be not troubled
[Gk: (to wail); clamor, be frightened] [i.e., have faith]: for
all these
things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For
nation shall
rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and
there shall
be famines [great hunger
leading to
starvation], and pestilences [e.g.,
COVID 19, plus many new variations], and earthquakes
[“fearful sights and great signs” (Luke 21:11)],
in divers
[many] places [the third seal (Rev 6:5,6)] [3]. All these [the first three seals
(strong
delusion, war, famine)] are the
beginning of
sorrows [Gk: pangs or throes, espec. childbirth:
pain,
travail].
1.
(Rev
6:1,2) And I [John] saw when the Lamb [of
God,
Jesus Christ, the Word of God (John 1:14)] opened
[revealed to sight (unveiled a revelation)] [the first] one of the [seven] seals [a], and I heard, as
it were the
noise of thunder [God-speak in Heaven], one of the
four
beasts [11x in Revelation; i.e., four speaking
aliens (Rev
4:6-11) who are not of this world, but are most highly intimate
with
God, perhaps they are the “king-priests” (Rev 1:6; 5:10) of four
different
worlds, or solar systems, or galaxies] saying, Come
and see. [a command]. And I saw, and
behold a white horse [that
appeared (seemed) to represent the great power of truth
and
innocence, but in reality symbolizes the great power of “strong
delusion” (2 Thes 2:11), i.e., we are now experiencing an intentionally
provoking never-ending plethora of lies]: and he [the
rider] that sat on him [and controlled the great power
of the
horse of “strong delusion” by holding the reins (governing) the
words
that issue forth from the horse’s mouth] had a bow [versus “a sharp
sword” (Rev
19:15) of the true Savior, Jesus Christ]; and a
crown [versus “many crowns” (Rev 19:12) of the
true
Savior, Jesus Christ] was given unto him: and he went forth conquering [Gk: subduing:
overcoming, getting
the victory (now)] [i.e., through fear (versus faith)], and [continuing]
to conquer [with ever
mounting fear,
on into the future].
a.
Commentary:
the first seal is the command platform
for “the command performance”
of Satan (the Father of
lies (John 8:44) who
projects a foundation of conviction for the seeds
(thoughts) of “strong delusion”
(2 Thes
2:11), seeds that Satan is continually sowing, foul
profane evil seeds (words, thoughts: all lies)
thoroughly
effecting the next three visible seals that are incrementally
(here a little, and there a little) progressively producing
the deadly fruits of war, famine, and death. The first
four seals
of the total of seven seals are visible “Come and see.” seals,
whereas
the last three seals of the seven seals do not own a preceding
“Come and
see.” and are therefore invisible to worldly perceptions,
and can
only be spiritually discerned, understood
by the
Saints, perhaps not now, but certainly with the fullness of the Holy Spirit of
God in the forthcoming
1,000 year Millennium, we shall see!
2.
(Rev
6:3,4) And when he [Jesus Christ, the Word of God (John
1:14)]
had opened [revealed to sight (unveiled a revelation)] the second seal, I heard the second beast
say, Come and see. [a command]. And
there went out another horse that was red
[the color of blood]: and power was given to him
that sat
thereon [that controlled the horse] to
take peace from the earth, and that they
should kill one another [“and the LORD set every
man’s
sword against his fellow” (Judg 7:22), exactly like the LORD
did to the
135,000 invading unsaved Midianites (Heb: brawling,
contentious,
discord, strife), who were symbolically a host, horde, swarm,
legion of evil
spirits (evil, unclean thoughts) attempting to enter into the body
(of
Christ) enmasse, which is the present circumstance (test,
temptation)
that we are definitely experiencing right now]: and
there was
given unto him [the rider] a
great sword
[of war].
3.
(Rev
6:5,6) And when he [Jesus Christ, the Word of God (John
1:14)]
had opened [revealed to sight (unveiled a revelation)] the third seal, I heard the third beast
say, Come
and see. [a command]. And I beheld, and lo a black horse
[the
skin color of starvation]; and he that sat on him had a pair
of
balances [Gk: a coupling, yoke; fig. servitude: a
beam (as
connecting the scales)] in his hand [Gk:
power] [of manipulation]. And I heard a voice [perhaps:
the false news media: radio, television, internet] in the midst
of the
four beasts say, A measure of wheat
[good
edible grain] for a penny [a day’s wages], and
three
measures of barley [grain
of much
lesser quality, used as food for livestock] for a penny [a
day’s
wages]; and see thou hurt not [harm not] the oil and the wine [i.e.,
take not of the best food reserved for the rulers].
(Matt
24:8) All these are the beginning of
sorrows [Gk:
childbirth]. [yes, but whose
birth??]
Amen
