THE MOST DIRECT MANIFESTATION OF THE RAPTURE/TRANSLATION

06-11-17 This message may be viewed live streaming video at www.tabernacleofmoses.org commencing today Sunday at 11:00am, and repeated 24/7 for one week; thereafter, the video, audio, and study notes are archived.

The brightness of our revelations depends upon the correctness of our doctrines (our building blocks)

THE RAPTURE/ TRANSLATION

(1 Thes 4:13-18)  But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep [Gk: deceased: be dead], that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. (1 Thes 4:14)  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep [Gk: deceased: be dead] in Jesus will God bring with him. (1 Thes 4:15))  For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent [Gk: precede, go before] them which are asleep [Gk: deceased: be dead]. (1 Thes 4:16)  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel [Michael: Jude 1:9], and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: (1 Thes 4:17) Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up [Gk: seized] [raptured, translated] together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. (1 Thes 4:18)  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

THE MANIFESTATION

(Luke 9:28-36)  And it came to pass about an eight days [symbol of a new beginning] after these sayings, he [Jesus] took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray. And as he prayed, the fashion [Gk: view] of his countenance [Gk: appearance] was altered [“transfigured” Mat 17:2; “transformed” Rom 12:2], and his raiment [Gk: clothing] was white and glistering [Gk: to lighten forth, radiant] [1]. And, behold, there talked with him two men [2], which were Moses [representing “the dead in Christ” 1 Thes 4:16] and Elijah [representing those which are “alive and remain shall be caught up [raptured, translated] together with them in the clouds” 1 Thes 4:17] [3,4,5]: Who [who] appeared in glory, and spake of his decease [Gk: exit, fig. death] which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.  But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep [i.e., they were not “spiritually awakened enough” to receive the “transfiguration” revelation fully]: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and [the glory of] the two men that stood with him. And it came to pass, as they departed from him, Peter said unto Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles [Gk: tents]; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah: not knowing what he said. While he thus spake, there came a cloud, and overshadowed them [Gk: cast a shade upon, (by analogy) to envelop in a haze of brilliancy]: and they feared [Gk: to be alarmed, to be in awe of, revere] as they entered into the cloud [“in the clouds” 1 Thes 4:17]. And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear [Gk: understand] him. And when the voice was past, Jesus was found alone. And they kept it close, and told no man in those days any of those things which they had seen.

1.     (Mat 17:2,3)  And [Jesus] was transfigured [Gk: transformed (metamorphosed)] [Rom 12:2] before them [Peter, James and John]: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. And, behold, there appeared unto them [Peter, James and John] Moses and Elijah talking with him.

2.     Commentary: two men” = clearly two witnesses of Jesus Christ; perhaps the “two witnesses” of Rev 11:3, but Enoch and Elijah, both of whom have never died, are also candidates, except, Moses would then experience his second death.

3.     (Deut 34:5,6)  So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD. And he [Joshua] buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Bethpeor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day.

a.     (Heb 9:27)  And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

4.     (2 Kings 2:9-12)  And it came to pass, when they were gone over [the river Jordan], that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me. And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing [i.e., for you to bare]: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so. And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven [Elijah was raptured (translated) into heaven]. And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces [comp. the cloven hooves of clean animals].

a.     Commentary: Elijah was the second man to be raptured (translated), and Elijah never died.

5.     (Gen 5:21-24)  And Enoch [Heb: initiated, dedicated: disciplined, trained up] lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah [who lived 969 years]: And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: And Enoch walked with God: and he was not [Heb: nothing]; for God took [Heb: seized] him.

a.     Commentary: Enoch was the archetype (first) man to be raptured (translated), and Enoch never died.

b.     Commentary: being raptured (translated) from earth to heaven is like an earthly language being “translated” into a heavenly language, Jehovah God’s language: the Word of God. That is what we are becoming, the Word of God, by being raptured (translated) “here a little, and there a little.” (Isa 28:9,10)

(Isa 28:9,10)  Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine [i.e., God’s language]? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts [ready (willing) for meat]. For precept must be upon precept [vertical revelations, first God to man], precept upon precept; line [horizontal revelations, then godly man to man] upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
