God is Thought. The brightness
of our revelations depends upon the correctness of our
doctrines, our building blocks, our Godly Thoughts laid
one upon
another, ascending into the mind of Christ.
(Luke
17:20,21) And when he was demanded of
the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he
answered
them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with
observation [Gk: ocular evidence: observation]: Neither
shall
they say, Lo [Look] here! or, lo [look] there! for, behold,
the kingdom of God [“the kingdom of heaven” Matt
19:23,24]
is within [Gk: inside] you.
[What is inside you?]
THIS IS INSIDE YOU:
THE PARABLE OF THE TALENTS
(Matt
25:14,15) For the kingdom of heaven [“within you”] is
as a man
[Jesus Christ] travelling into a far country, who called
his own
servants [Christians (angels)], and delivered
[Gk:
intrusted] [“entrusted” Amplif.] [1] unto them his goods
[Gk: things in hand] [i.e., the Hand Ministry]. And unto one he
gave five
talents, to another two, and to another one; to
every man according
to [“in proportion to” Amplif.] his several
ability [“his
own personal ability” Amplif.] [ability proficiency test catagories on
the USAF
entrance exam: general, administrative, mechanical, electronic];
and
straightway took his journey. [2,3]
1.
entrust = Dict: 1. to charge or
invest with a trust or duty. 2. to assign the care of; turn over for
safekeeping.
2.
talent = Gk: to bear; balance (as
supporting weights); a certain weight; a sum of money.
3.
Commentary:
a sum of
responsibility, i.e., perhaps Jesus was saying that because you
are farmers,
do thus with these farming tools that I have given you. Could
the “five
talents” possibly allude to the five ability proficiency categories of apostle,
prophet, evangelist, pastor, teacher of
Ephesians
4:10-12?
4.
(Eph
4:10-12) He that
descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that
he
might fill all things.) And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets;
and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
For
the perfecting of the saints, for
the
work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body
of Christ
[all done through the supernatural power of the Word of God]:
a.
perfecting
= Gk: complete
furnishing /// to complete thoroughly, repair, adjust: fit,
frame, mend,
(make) perfect (-ly join together), prepare, restore. [repair,
mend,
restore to what?]
b.
(Rom
3:9) What then? are we
better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews
and
Gentiles, that they are all under sin;
c.
(Gal
3:22) But the scripture
hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith
of Jesus
Christ might be given to them that believe.
5.
work = Gk: toil (as an effort or
occupation); act: deed, doing, labour.
6.
edifying = Gk: architechure,
structure: building (up).
THE ACTIONS OF ALL THE SERVANTS IN RESPONSE
TO THE COMMAND
(Matt
25:16-18) Then he that had received the five talents went
and traded
[Gk: toiled: laboured, ministered about, worked] with
the same,
and made them other five talents [a 100 fold increase].
And likewise he that had received two [talents],
he
also gained other two [talents, a 100 fold increase].
But
he that had received one [talent] went and
digged in
the earth [1], and hid [Gk:
concealed, fig. to
keep secret] his lord's money [Gk: silver] [2].
1.
Commentary:
although he was
judged by Jesus (“the righteous judge” 2 Tim 4:8) to be capable
of a
gain, he spent his attention and effort (works) digging deeper internally
into the world (his self).
2.
Commentary:
silver is the biblical
metal that symbolizes salvation. This man gained no
increase,
and by hiding rather than sharing the
talent, he guaranteed
that no-one else would either.
JUDGMENT OF THE GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANTS
(Matt
25:19-23) After a long time the lord of those servants
cometh, and
reckoneth with them [“and settled accounts with them”
Amplif.].
And so he that had received five talents came and brought
other five
talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst [Gk:
intrusted] [entrusted] unto me five talents: behold, I
have
gained beside them five talents more. His lord said unto
him, Well
done, thou good and faithful [Gk: (subjectively) trustful:
believing, true] servant: thou hast been faithful
[Gk:
(objectively) trustworthy: believing, true] over a few things,
I
will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the
joy of thy
lord [by going to heaven]. He also that had received two
talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two
talents:
behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. His lord
said unto
him, Well done, good and faithful [Gk: trustful:
believing, true]
servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I
will make
thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy
lord [by
going to heaven].
JUDGMENT OF THE UNPROFITABLE SERVANT
(Matt
25:24,25) Then he which had received the one talent came and
said
[his excuse for his disobedience. The excuse was a psychological
projection
– of himself] [1], Lord, I knew thee that thou art an
hard
[Gk: dry, hard or tough (fig. harsh, severe)] man,
reaping where
thou hast not sown [(i.e., stealing)], and gathering
where thou
hast not strawed [(i.e., stealing)]: And I was afraid
[having no trust in you], and went and hid thy talent [the
progenitor of salvation] [2] in the earth [i.e.,
he
covered it with the world ]: lo, there thou hast that is thine.
1.
projection = Dict: in psychiatry, the
unconscious act or process of ascribing to others one’s own ideas,
impulses, or
emotions, esp. when they are considered undesirable or cause anxiety.
a.
Commentary:
the unprofitable
servant projected himself (his own personality), and in that
sense he
judged himself “eye for eye” as a “hard” unforgiven man.
2.
progenitor = Dict: 1. a forefather;
ancestor in direct line. 2. a source from which something develops;
originator
or precursor.
a.
(Rom
10:17) So then faith
cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of
God [by hearing the Bible].
(Matt
25:26-30) His lord answered and said unto him, Thou
wicked [Gk:
evil] and slothful servant [1], thou
knewest
[Gk: understood] [(incorrectly)] that I reap where I
sowed not,
and gather where I have not strawed [i.e., that I am a thief]:
Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers
[Gk: bankers], and then at my coming I should have received
mine own
[back] with usury [Gk:
interest] [i.e., receive a gain, more silver, more salvations].
Take
therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten
talents. For unto every one that hath [understanding
of
salvation] shall be given [more understanding
(revelations)],
and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not
[understanding]
shall be taken away even that [understanding] which
he
hath [i.e., stony ground persons]. And cast ye the
unprofitable [Gk: useless] servant into outer
darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
1.
(Prov
24:30-32) I went by
the field [where he was supposed to bring forth grain]
of the
slothful [Heb: indolent (Dict: disliking or
avoiding
work; idle, lazy): sluggard /// to lean idly, to be slack], and
by
the vineyard [where he was supposed to bring forth grapes]
of
the man void [Heb: lacking; without: destitute,
failing] of
understanding; And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns
[thorny
ground persons “among thorns” Matt 13:7], and nettles
[Heb:
prickly; pointed, a bramble or other thorny weed] had covered
the
face thereof, and the stone wall thereof [erected
to keep out
varmits, troublesome animals, people, and spirits] was broken
down. Then
I saw, and considered it well: I looked upon it, and
received instruction [Heb: chastisement; fig. reproof,
warning or
instruction; also restraint: correction, discipline, doctrine, rebuke].
Amen
