THE
BEGINNING
(Gen
28:10,11)
And Jacob [Heb: heel catcher, supplanter] [trickster
(deceiver),
herein symbolizing an unsaved person in the beginning of his
transition
into Israel (Heb: he will rule as God)] went out from Beersheba
[Heb: well of an oath], and went toward Haran [Heb:
burning] [away of sin]. And he lighted [Heb:
made
intercession, prayed] [a consequence of burning away of sin]
upon a
certain place [Heb: fig. a condition (of body or mind)] [in
his
life], and tarried [Heb: endured] there
all
night [surrounded by the darkness of this world],
because the
sun was set [lacking the illumination of God, and it
was
cold]; and he took of the [hard] stones
of that
place [the condition of the hardness of his heart at that
time,
i.e., his inner thoughts], and put them for his pillows
[as the worldly foundation of his thoughts], and lay
down in
that place [Heb: fig. a condition (of body or mind)]
to
sleep [no longer in active charge, offensively or
defensively,
of his life, but openly neutral… resting].
OF
HIS CONVERSION
(Gen
28:12)
And he [Jacob] dreamed [dream
states are instances
of pure thoughts that exclude physical body participation],
and
behold a ladder [Heb:
a stair
case] [1] set up [Heb: stationed: established]
on
the earth, and the top [Heb: head] of it reached
to
[Heb: touched] heaven: and behold the
angels [spirits] [2] of
God
[we, the spiritual entities (composited thoughts)
temporarily
dwelling inside these physical bodies, are those once but no
longer
innocent spirits/angels] ascending
and
descending [we approach God as we mentally tread
(spiritually
climb) ever upward through the clouds, and God comes
down to meet
us in the air] [3] on it [i.e., on
the ladder,
based on revelations, stairs, steps (for our feet, hands for
our work)]. (Gen
28:13) And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, [a
repetition
of the Abrahamic Covenant (Gen 12:1-3)] I am the LORD God of
Abraham thy
father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will
I give
it, and to thy seed; Gen 28:14 And thy seed shall be as the
dust of
the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east,
and to
the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the
families
of the earth be blessed.

Commentary:
Symbolically, in the
Bible, a man is “like a tree” (Psa 1:3), and Jesus was in fact a
“carpenter”
(Mark 6:3); hence, the “ladder”
to heaven
is built of wooden rails
(people:
teachers - shepherds), and wooden
stairs
(people: students support - sheep), also meaning that Jesus Christ fashioned the wooden ladder… for
our
feet (walk – stepping) and for our hands (works –
grasping).
By ascending vertically to heaven, each step represents a cumulative revelation likened unto
the building
up of a volcano “here a little and there a little” (Isa 28:10,13) of
the
Word of God, and then the sudden explosion: pow,
i.e., the revelation.

maketh his angels [Heb:
messengers
(messages)] spirits; his
ministers [Heb:
worshippers: servants] a flaming
[consuming]
fire: [this verse repeated
in Heb
1:7]

(Jer
23:29) Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that
breaketh the
rock in pieces?

Commentary:
all
spirits
(good and evil angels) were originally thoughts of
God
and part of God’s innocent (good and perfect) Holy Spirit (the Thoughts
of
God). Then God “created evil”
(Isa 45:7),
and “the third part” (Rev 12:4) of the innocent angels listened to and
believed
Lucifer-Satan instead of God, and were consequently
exiled from heaven
(exiled from the Holy Spirit), and became separated
“fallen angels” (unclean
spirits, devils,
demons), i.e., fallen
(defiled,
perverted, altered, changed) thoughts
of God.
“For I am the LORD, I change not;” (Mal 3:6a)

Commentary:
“ascending and
descending” = From a wholistic overview, we
are ascending up to heaven, by
prayer [a] and study [b],
step by step; we are ascending
(no longer earthbound) through
the Word of God; we are ascending through high “decks” of white
(the color symbolizing innocence and purity) suspended clouds,
each
composed of condensed water (Eph
5:26), condensed words of God, i.e., raindrops,
continually descending down
upon and into us, spreading
like scattering seeds (“The seed is the word of God” Luke 8:11),
nourishing
“the dust” (Gen 2:7) of the earth, of us. God in Jesus Christ is
descending down upon and
into we who are ascending into
Him, “to meet the Lord in the
air” [c].

unto God, a workman [Gk: toiler, laborer] that
needeth not
to be ashamed, rightly dividing [Gk: to make a straight
cut, fig.

himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice
of the
archangel [Michael], and with the trump(et) of
God: and the
dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive
and remain
shall be caught up
[ascending]
together
with
them in the clouds, to meet the
[descending] Lord in the air:
and
so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one
another
with these words.

Commentary:
The angelic spiritual
ladder (pathway) is the only way back
into spiritual heaven.

dust return to the earth
as it was:
and the spirit shall return
unto God
who gave it.

Commentary:
Are you ascending
Jacob’s ladder to heaven?
