UNVEILING THE PROCESS AND THE FUTURE OF CHRISTIANITY
REVEALED IN 2 KINGS 2 (part 3 – The PRESENT-FUTURE)

10-15-23 God is Thought. The brightness of our revelations
depends upon the correctness of our doctrines, our building blocks, our Godly
thoughts laid one upon another, ascending into the mind of Christ. Thought
is a manifestation of “energy” (like electricity). These study notes are archived at tabernacleofmoses.org.
THE MIRACLE OF BELIEF: OUR
HEALING (OUR SALVATION)
(2 Kings 2:19-22) And the men of the city [of Jericho: significantly, an old city that
was destroyed, and then rebuilt new (renewed, made new) thereby
substantiating the “thematic tone” of this entire chapter] said
unto Elisha, Behold, I pray thee, the situation [the living condition] of this city is pleasant [syn: pleasing, nice, pleasurable],
as my lord seeth [(by “sight”)]:
but the water is naught [Heb: bad or evil] [diseased, corrupted], and the ground barren
[Heb: to miscarry, suffer abortion:
childless]. And he [Elisha]
said, Bring me a new cruse [i.e., a virgin container, ref. “a new
creature”] [1], and put [(your)] salt
therein [2,3,4]. And they brought it to him. And
he went forth unto the spring [the
bad/evil corrupted Satanic worldly thought source who is “the God
of this world” 2 Cor 2:4] of the waters [of the thoughts of humanity], and cast the salt [the purifying cleansing preserving Thoughts
of God] in there [into
the corrupted waters (“The sower soweth the word.” Mark 4:14)], and
said, Thus saith the LORD, I have healed [Heb: to mend (by stitching), cured:
repaired, made whole] [i.e., saved] these waters
[of willing humanity,
the healing is channeled through the instrument (you) of your salt
(God’s Thoughts in you, i.e., your ministry)]; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren
land [5]. So
the waters [the thoughts of humanity]
were healed [were born-again,
made anew, for those who are willing to accept the theology of this
blessing] unto this day [forever more], according to the
saying [words] of Elisha [a “chosen” instrument of God (a humble farmer)]
which he spake [i.e., sowed].
1.
(2 Cor
5:17) Therefore if
any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away;
behold, all things are become new. [born-again]
2.
(Mark
9:49,50) For every one shall be salted
with fire [i.e.,
shall be salted with God’s Thoughts, “For our God is a consuming fire.” Heb:
12:29], and every sacrifice shall be salted
with salt [with
God’s Thoughts].
Salt is
good: but if the salt have lost his saltness [Gk: become insipid] [“lifeless”]
[a],
wherewith will ye season [Gk:
prepare]
it [for My Delight]? Have
salt [God’s Thoughts] in yourselves, and have peace one
with another.
a.
insipid: Dict. = 1. without flavor; tasteless. 2. not
exciting or interesting; dull; lifeless.
3.
Wilson’s
Dictionary of Bible Types (copyright 1957) [with
my highlighting and underlining]: “salt”
= “This is a type of the believer
in the following aspects: Salt (table) is always pure white as
the Christian is in God’s sight. Every crystal of salt is a perfect cube.
It is perfectly square. Each Christian is considered to be
“square” toward God, toward his fellow
man, toward his family, and toward himself. Salt
preserves. The Christian by his godly influence and Christian
activities has a salutary and beneficent affect upon those with whom he
associates. The presence of Christians in the world
preserves the world from the
corruption of Satan. When the Christians are
removed, the corruption progresses rapidly.”
4.
Commentary:
Salt is a type and shadow of the Thoughts of
God. For another “perfect cube… perfectly square” please
refer to the dimensions of the Most Holy Place (a
cube). Every single grain of salt
(every Thought of God) sown inside each of us is a
miniature Most Holy Place communing God’s Thoughts, communing His Love for
us.
5.
Commentary: (no) “more death or barren
land” = the “barren land”
symbolizes all humanity wherein “death” shall be exchanged, in believers only, for
an eternal
life of spiritually productive
activities (works) for God versus the remaining “barren”
non-activities of the irreparable lost. For our Lord’s Delight and our personal happiness,
we have been “chosen” and are being “trained up” to become “good and faithful” servants of God, i.e., humble farmhands joyfully laboring immersed in
the unspeakable splendor of the Kingdom of God/Heaven. Hallelujah! Thank you Lord.
a. (John 14:12) Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me [Jesus Christ], the
works [Gk:
acts: deeds, labors] [of love]
that I do shall he [the believer] do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
THE MIRACLE OF UNBELIEF
(2 Kings 2:23-25) And he [Elisha]
went up [Heb: ascended] from
thence unto Bethel [Gk: the house of God] [being himself now full of the Holy
Spirit] [1]: and as he was going up [Heb: ascending] by the way [Heb: road] [to Heaven], there came forth little children
[2] out of the city, and mocked [Heb: disparaged, ridiculed: scoffed, scorned] him [Elisha],
and said unto him, Go up [just like that silly foolish story we
all heard about Elijah going up], thou
bald head [an idiomatic
phrase of contempt and derision]; go up, thou
bald head [taunting and spitefully provoking Elisha,
herein symbolizing consequential Tribulation (this “provoking” is
happening to Christians (believers) right now)]. (2
Kings 2:24) And he turned back [he returned; oh oh: symbolizing the coming
of Jesus Christ in judgment], and looked on them [i.e., and judged them] [3], and
cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came
forth two she bears [perhaps
Russia and allied China, “Gog, the land of Magog” Ezek 38:2]
out of the wood [Heb: forest] [wood is derived from felled
trees that symbolize fallen mankind],
and tare [Heb: ripped up] [“mauled” NIV] forty and two children of them [4]. (2 Kings 2:25) And he went from thence to
mount Carmel [Heb: a fruitful (plentiful)
field] [from which spouts another much more strengthened symbol of the Great
Tribulation], and from thence he returned to Samaria [Heb: a watch station /// to hedge
about, guard; protect: look narrowly, observe, preserve, save] [i.e., the
common duty of every Christian is “to watch” over the Kingdom of God].
1.
Commentary: “unto Bethel” = rather than
going back to the beginning unto Gigal where a few of the people were beginning to consider God’s Thoughts, respond to God’s call, and then come
to church at Bethel, newly becoming part of the congregation of “the
sons of the prophets” (just as we are).
But many responded not.
a.
(1 Pet
4:17) For the time is come that judgment
must begin at the house of God [at
Bethel]:
and if it first begin at us, what shall the
end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
2.
Commentary: “little children” = these were a pack of mean-hearted children, wicked malicious teenagers,
each teenager at or above the age of responsibility (approximately 12 years
old) and “a chip off the old block,” an environmental product of
the thoughts of his or her own parents.
3.
Commentary: “Know ye not that we [i.e.,
the saints] shall judge (the bad –
evil) angels?” (1 Cor 6:3). Elisha
(a type and shadow of us) was then wearing the active
fullness of the Holy Spirit, “the garments of salvation…
the robe of righteousness.”
4.
Commentary:
“forty and two children of them” = from “of them” we may infer that there were many other likeminded children. The number “forty and two” (42) is
an often repeated and very important Bible symbol of the Great Tribulation, which, on
another level, may also symbolize the approximate time in months of the Ministry of Jesus Christ on this earth. Please note that the
mention of “forty and two” in this verse is
unnecessary for the “sight” flow continuity of the narrative.
However, if we, “in the spirit,” associate
the number 42 with months and divide 42 months by 12 = 3 ½ years,
the prophecy of the Great Tribulation appears, and is symbolically
described in the single verse of 2 Kings 2:24 as the Great Tribulation that Elisha (a
type and shadow of Jesus Christ) “turned back” to initiate.
