THE SYMBOLIC PICTURE OF OUR SALVATION

10-29-17 This message may be viewed live streaming video at www.tabernacleofmoses.org commencing today Sunday at 11:00 am, and repeated 24/7 for one week; thereafter, the video, audio, and study notes are archived.

The brightness of our revelations depend upon the correctness of our doctrines (our building blocks)

JUSTIFICATION

(Rom 5:1)  Therefore being justified by faith [Gk: belief], we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

1.     justified = Gk: to render (show or regard as) just or innocent: free, be righteous.

THE SYMBOLIC PICTURE OF OUR JUSTIFICATION PERFORMED BY JESUS CHRIST

(RENDERING US INNOCENT)

(Exo 27:1-8)  And thou shalt make an altar [of burnt offering (sacrifice)] of shittim wood [boards of the acacia wood tree; (Heb: from its scourging thorns)], five cubits long [one cubit in length equaling approx. 2 feet], and five cubits broad; the altar shall be foursquare: and the height thereof shall be three cubits. And thou shalt make the horns [Heb: a ray (of light); fig. power] of it upon the four corners thereof: his horns shall be [made] of the same [shittim wood]: and thou shalt overlay it [the altar of burnt offering (sacrifice)] with brass [Heb: copper; fig. filthiness] [symbolizing sin]. And thou shalt make his pans to receive his ashes, and his shovels, and his basons [Heb: bowls], and his fleshhooks, and his firepans: all the vessels thereof thou shalt make of brass [Heb: copper; fig. filthiness] [symbolizing sin]. And thou shalt make for it a grate of network of brass [Heb: copper; fig. filthiness] [symbolizing sin]; and upon the net [Heb: net (as catching animals)] shalt thou make four brasen [Heb: copper; fig. filthiness] [symbolizing sin] rings in the four corners thereof. And thou shalt put it under the compass of the altar [a shelf around the altar for the attending priests to walk upon] beneath, that the net may be even to the midst of the altar. And thou shalt make staves [Heb: branches of a tree, bars for carrying] for the altar, staves of shittim wood [symbolic of priests], and overlay them with brass [Heb: copper; fig. filthiness] [symbolizing sin]. And the staves shall be put into the rings, and the staves shall be upon the two sides [Heb: ribs (literally, of the body)] [symbol of the body of believers in Christ; symbol of the body of Jesus Christ] of the altar, to bear it [the work of the priests]. Hollow with boards [i.e., signifying total dedication] shalt thou make it [the altar of burnt offering (sacrifice)]: as it was shewed thee in the mount, so shall they make it.

1.     Draw a diagram illustrating heaven, earth, and hell as depicted in the altar of burnt offering (sacrifice).

SANCTIFICATION

(Eph 5:26)  That he [Christ] might sanctify and cleanse it [the church] with the washing of water by the word [of God],

1.     sanctify = Gk: to make holy, purify or consecrate; venerate: hallow, be holy /// sacred (physically pure, morally blameless, religiously consecrated): most holy, saint.

THE SYMBOLIC PICTURE OF OUR SANCTIFICATION PERFORMED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT

(SEPARATING US FROM SIN)

(Exo 30:17-21)  And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Thou shalt also make a laver [Heb: (something round); a washbowl; also a pulpit] of brass [Heb: copper; fig. filthiness] [symbolizing sin], and his foot [Heb: pedestal: base] also of brass [Heb: copper; fig. filthiness] [symbolizing sin], to wash withal [Heb: bathe, wash self]: and thou shalt put it between [symbolizing a buffer, a shock absorber, a shield, an intercessor between God and us, between] the tabernacle of the congregation [i.e., God] and the altar [of burnt offering, i.e., us], and thou shalt put water [symbol of the Holy Spirit] therein. For Aaron and his sons shall wash [Heb: bathe, wash self] their [our] hands [symbol of our works] and their [our] feet [symbol of our walk] thereat: When they go into the tabernacle of the congregation, they shall wash [Heb: bathe, wash self] with water, that they die not; or when they come near to the altar [of burnt offering (sacrifice)] to minister, to burn offering made by fire unto the LORD: So they shall wash [Heb: bathe, wash self] their hands and their feet, that they die not: and it shall be a statute [Heb: law] for ever to them, even to him and to his seed [belivers imputed for righteousness, born-again, “priests” Rev 20:6] throughout their generations.

1.     (Exo 38:8)  And he made the laver of brass [Heb: copper; fig. filthiness] [symbolizing sin], and the foot of it of brass [Heb: copper; fig. filthiness] [symbolizing sin], of the lookingglasses [Heb: mirrors /// sight] [symbol of the sin of pride] of the women assembling, which assembled at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

(Rev 20:6)  Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Amen
