(Psa
33:1-5) Rejoice
in the LORD, O ye [“uncompromisingly”
Amplified Bible] righteous [Heb:
just: lawful] [saved, born-again]: for praise is comely [Heb:
suitable, or beautiful: seemly] for
the upright [“in
right standing with God” Amplif.]. Praise
the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery [Heb:
lyre] [Dict.: a small stringed instrument of the harp family]
and an
instrument of ten strings [perhaps an allusion to the
Ten
Commandments]. Sing unto
him a new song [representing a
new life,
eternal]; play skilfully [Dict.: with great
ability or
proficiency; with expertness that comes from training, practice]
with a
loud noise [Heb: an acclamation of joy: rejoicing,
shouting, joyful
sound]. For the word of the LORD
is right [Heb:
straight: just]; and all his works [God’s works]
are done in truth
[versus Satan’s works done in lies, for he “is the father”
(John 8:44)
of lies]. He [Father God] loveth righteousness
and judgment [discernment between good and evil,
right and
wrong]: the earth is full of the
goodness
[Heb: kindness; beauty] [that will ultimately pevail] of the LORD.
(Psa
33:6,7) By the word of the LORD
were the heavens made; and
all the host [Heb: a mass of persons, (an army)] of
them
[i.e., of the angels] [1] by
the breath
of his mouth [i.e., by the manifestations of His
Holy
Spirit (Father God’s Thoughts)]. He gathereth the
waters of the
sea [a biblical symbol of humanity] together as an heap [Heb: in the sense of
piling up; a
mound, wave /// waver, fig. to wander: vagabond, wandering] [negative
connotations, the fallen angels “wandered”; ref. “and darkness
was
upon the face of the deep” [2]: he layeth up the depth [of
knowledge and understanding] in storehouses [Heb:
depositories: armory, cellars, garners (barns made of wood boards), treasure
houses /// treasure] [fig. in saved people, in you and I].
1.
(Heb
11:3) Through faith we
understand that the worlds were framed by the
word of God, so that things which are seen [including
men]
were not made of things which do
appear [Gk:
show: be seen] [but are made of things that are invisible; “the
invisible God”
(Col 1:15) manifesting the invisible angels].
2.
(Gen
1:1-3) In the beginning God
created the heaven and the
earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness
[i.e.,
the characteristics of fallen angels in direct contrast to Light,]
[a] was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit
of God moved
upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let
there be light [Heb:
illumination (in every sense, including happiness)] [b]:
and
there was light [and
Jesus Christ issued
forth as that Light].
a.
darkness
= Heb: fig. misery, destruction, death, ignorance, sorrow, wickedness.
b.
light =
(John
8:12) Then spake Jesus again unto
them,
saying, I am the
[manifested] light [illumination] of the world [Gk: cosmos
(universe)]:
he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but
shall have the light [illumination,
joy] of life [eternal].
(Psa
33:8-11)
Let all the earth fear the LORD
[some
with reverence and awe; others with dread and terror (Joel 2:1,2)]:
let all
the inhabitants of the world stand in awe [Heb: be
afraid] of
him. For he spake, and
it was
done; he commanded, and it
stood fast [Heb:
(was) established]. The LORD bringeth the counsel [Heb:
advice: purpose] of the heathen [the unsaved,
unregenerated]
to nought [nothing]: he maketh the devices
[Heb:
contrivances, intentions, plans: purposes, thoughts] of the
people of
none effect. The counsel [Heb:
advice: purpose] of the LORD standeth
for
ever [Heb:
eternally: without
end], the thoughts
of his heart [are
God’s Holy Spirit. Some of God’s Thoughts (some of God’s Holy
Spirit) were
manifested as angels (Words, e.g., the Bible)] to all generations.
FATHER
GOD SEES (WATCHES) ALL THE SONS OF MEN
(Psa
33:12-17)
Blessed [Heb: happy] is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he
hath chosen [1] for his own inheritance. The
LORD
looketh from heaven; he beholdeth
[Heb:
sees] all
the sons of men [both good and bad (evil)]. From
the
place of his habitation he looketh [Heb:
to look (narrowly)] upon all the inhabitants of the
earth. He
fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth
[thinks
about] all their works
[Heb:
actions (good or bad)]. There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a
mighty man
is not delivered by much
strength. An
horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver
any by his great strength.
1.
(John
15:16) Ye have not
chosen [Gk: selected] me, but
I have chosen [Gk: selected] you,
and ordained [Gk: appointed: purposed] you, that ye
should go and
bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain [Gk:
abide,
continue, dwell]: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name [i.e., within the
acceptable perimeter
of given Scripture (John 1:14)], he may give it you.
(Psa
33:18-22)
Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them
that fear [Heb: (are) morally
reverent (to)] him, upon them that hope
[1] in his mercy [Heb:
kindness: pity] [forgiveness]; To deliver
[Heb:
to snatch away: pluck, preserve, recover, rescue, save] their
soul
from death, and to keep them alive in famine [ref.
the third
seal of the Apocalypse: Rev 6:5,6]. Our soul waiteth [2] for the LORD: he is our help and our
shield. For our heart shall rejoice in
him,
because we have trusted in his holy name. Let
thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us,
according
as [because] we hope in thee.
1.
(Titus
2:11-13) For the grace of
God that bringeth salvation hath
appeared to
all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness
and worldly
lusts, we should live soberly,
righteously, and
godly, in this present world; Looking
for
that blessed hope
[Gk: anticipation (usually with pleasure)], and
the
glorious appearing [Gk: manifestation] of the great God
and our
Saviour Jesus Christ [i.e., His second coming];
2.
(Luke
21:19) In your patience [Gk:
cheerful (or hopeful) endurance:
waiting] possess ye your souls [Gk: spirits:
hearts, minds].
a.
(Matt
10:21,22) And the brother
shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the
child: and the
children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to
be put
to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's
sake [because
of the Gospel of Jesus Christ]: but
he that endureth
[Gk: to stay under (behind), remains; fig. to undergo,
bear
trials: (be) patient, suffers] to
the end
shall be saved.
b.
(Psa
34:7) The angel of the LORD
encampeth round about [Heb: encircles: encompasses, on
every
side] them that fear [Heb: are morally reverent
to]
him, and delivereth them.
Amen
What an
honor ye…
called
to
serve the living God,
for
ever a consuming fire
